femme pop art inspired by Pauline Boty

For this Women's History month, I decided to make a collage that is influenced by Pauline Boty's work. A woman that was a symbol of the pop art movement in England during the 60s. Her paintings and especially her collages, have  shaped my artistic identity as a woman myself, having a significant role in the way I express themes of femininity, combined with pop art references and vibrant colours. I wanted to create a dialogue between the past and the present, to show that Pauline's legacy is still alive and helps other women artists navigate their art journey guided by her work. In that sense, art is a union that has the magic power of a glue that sticks all of us together. And especially us women. And for that, I'm grateful to Pauline.
